All-on-X Full Arch Restoration

All-on-X for a Functional and Beautiful Smile

Understanding All-on-X

All-on-X uses 4–8 implants, sometimes more, to anchor a permanent denture. Your dental surgeon will determine how many implants will be best and where they should be placed. On top of those dental implants, Dr. Kumar will place your custom permanent denture, restoring a full arch of your teeth.

This approach cuts down on recovery time of getting a single dental implant for each tooth, while still offering the security and oral health benefits of dental implants.

How is All-on-X Different from Traditional Full-Arch Replacements?

Traditional full arch replacements typically require more implants than 4–6 and often cause longer recovery times. All-on-X uses a strategic number of dental implants placed at specific angles to support a full set of fixed teeth. This design allows for strong stability, efficient use of available bone, and a streamlined restoration that feels secure and natural when speaking or chewing.

All-on-X may allow patients with lower bone density to receive implants and restore their smile. Traditional methods often do not personalize the placement of implants to optimize the use of available jawbone density.

Am I a Candidate for All-on-X?

Dr. Kumar and our partnering oral surgeons will evaluate your specific candidacy for dental implants and All-on-X, creating a custom plan that answers each and every one of your oral health concerns and cosmetic concerns.

Here are some of our suggestions for candidacy:

  • Multiple Missing or Failing Teeth: All-on-X is often ideal for patients who have lost many teeth or whose remaining teeth are compromised and no longer predictable long-term.
  • Desire for a Fixed, Non-Removable Solution: If you prefer teeth that feel secure and function like natural teeth—without removing them daily—All-on-X may be a good fit.
  • Adequate Bone Structure or Strategic Bone Support: This technique is designed to maximize existing bone, even for patients who have experienced bone loss over time.
  • Good Overall Oral Health: Healthy gums and controlled oral conditions help support long-term implant success and predictable outcomes.
  • High Cosmetic Expectations: All-on-X allows for careful design of tooth shape, color, and alignment, making it well-suited for patients who value aesthetics as much as function.
  • A Preference for Comprehensive, Streamlined Care: Patients who want a thoughtfully planned, full-arch solution—rather than multiple separate treatments—often appreciate this approach.

The Benefits of All-on-X Permanent Dentures

Here at DentalPolitan, we love All-on-X for its beautiful combination of function and aesthetics. Neither one is left behind in this full-arch solution. Along with its comprehensive answers to your damaged smile, it offers:

Improved Oral Health
Replacing missing or failing teeth helps restore balance to your bite and reduces areas where bacteria can collect. A complete, stable arch supports healthier gums, minimizes irritation, and makes daily oral hygiene more effective and predictable.

Boosted Digestion
When you can chew comfortably and thoroughly, your body is better able to break down food before it reaches the digestive system. Restoring full chewing function allows you to enjoy a wider range of foods while supporting overall wellness.

A Sense of Confidence
A secure, full smile removes the hesitation many people feel when speaking, laughing, or being photographed. Patients often report feeling more comfortable in professional and social settings once they no longer worry about gaps, movement, or instability.

Reduced Facial Sagging
Missing teeth can contribute to a collapsed or aged appearance over time. A full-arch restoration provides structural support to the lower face, helping maintain natural facial contours and a more refreshed profile.

Consistent Functionality
All-on-X is designed to stay in place, offering dependable performance throughout the day. Eating, speaking, and smiling feel more natural without concerns about shifting, pressure points, or inconsistent bite strength.

Customized Fit and Feel
Each restoration is carefully planned to align with your jaw, bite, and comfort needs. This tailored approach helps ensure your teeth feel balanced, stable, and comfortable—rather than generic or bulky.

Personalized Appearance
Your denture restoration is designed with intention. Tooth shape, shade, and alignment are selected to complement your facial features, creating a result that looks refined, natural, and distinctly yours.

Our Process for All-on-X

Unlike traditional full-arch replacement methods, our process for All-on-X is simple. In many cases, you can have a functional smile in a few short days. We believe you deserve a simple process with stunning results.

We will invite you into our office to discuss whether you are a candidate for All-on-X. During this consultation, we will take imaging to analyze your jawbone density. We will also recommend you to an oral surgeon in the area who can place your implants. We may suggest a consultation with their team to personalize your implant placement plan.

Your oral surgeon will place 4–8 dentures in each arch of your smile. This process will be done under local or even general anesthesia, and typically takes a couple of hours. We recommend taking a day off to recover and sticking to soft foods for a couple of days.

After initial healing, we can make a temporary denture for you to maintain function while the implants integrate with your jawbone. This process takes a couple of months and creates a stable base for your permanent dentures.

Once your implants have integrated with your jawbone, we will place abutments, which attach the denture to the dental implant. We will also take impressions of your smile for a comfortable fitting denture.

We will then craft the denture, keeping your cosmetic goals in mind as we create your perfect fit. Once it is ready, you can come into our office, and we will permanently bond the dentures to the implants. We can even take before and after pictures to show you just how much All-on-X has changed your appearance!
